Vermicelli is a common delicacy on the dining table. When we talk about vermicelli, everyone will think of Longkou vermicelli. Shandong Longkou vermicelli is not only a famous traditional specialty in China, but also very famous abroad. According to historical records, Longkou vermicelli has a history of over 300 years. The earliest place of origin was Zhaoyuan city, and then it gradually developed to Longkou, Penglai, Laizhou, Qixia, Laiyang, Haiyang and other places. The export of Longkou vermicelli can be traced back to over a hundred years ago. After Longkou Port was opened in the year 1916, vermicelli was directly transported to Hong Kong and various Southeast Asian countries. At this time, the vast majority of vermicelli produced by Zhaoyuan and Longkou were sold to Longkou vermicelli Village, and Longkou city became a distribution center for vermicelli, hence the name of Longkou Vermicelli. Due to its good raw materials, suitable climate, and fine processing, the product quality is excellent and is known as the crown of vermicelli.


Zhaoyuan City is the birthplace and main production area of Longkou vermicelli. Every year, a large amount of peas are consumed to produce pea starch, which is used to make Longkou vermicelli. However, the most nutritious and economically valuable protein and fiber resources in peas are wasted while producing pea starch.


Talin Foods was the first to recognize the problem and the broad prospects of comprehensive development, utilization, and deep processing of peas. As early as the year 2012, the factory introduced advanced technology, processes, and equipment to extract pea protein while producing pea starch.


In the year 2015, the pea protein powder developed and extracted by Talin Foods began to be recognized by domestic and abroad consumers due to its dispersibility, good flowability, and stable protein extraction content. In recent years, the pea protein extracted by Talin Foods has been exported to nearly 20 countries such as Europe, America, Southeast Asia, and Australia, with an annual sales volume of over 7000MT.

 

The pea protein extracted from Talin Foods doesn’t contain estrogen, and it is Non-GMO and low allergen which is suitable for various populations. The product also has a low content of anti nutritional factors, with 80% of its fat content being unsaturated fatty acids. It is rich in various trace elements such as selenium, vitamin E, and vitamin C. It also has health functions such as enhancing immunity, preventing cardiovascular diseases, and antioxidation, etc.

 

Pea protein is also a pure source of plant protein, with a balanced proportion of amino acids.
